Please join the Santa Clarita Amateur Radio Club on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 in the Century Room at Santa Clarita City Hall, 23920 Valencia Boulevard, Santa Clarita, CA.  For our monthly meeting we will be planning our upcoming Field Day event.

The Board of Directors Meeting begins at 6:15 PM, followed by the regular club meeting at 7:00 PM.

Due to Field Day there will be no T-Hunt this month.

Field Day is here!

The Santa Clarita Amateur Radio Club’s annual Field Day operation will be held at the Castaic Lake Water Agency’s Rio Vista Water Treatment Plant just above Central Park in Bouquet Canyon.  Set up begins at 6:00 AM on Saturday, June 27 and at 11:00 AM sharp we go “On-The-Air.” Operations will continue 24 hours and shut down at 11:00 AM on Sunday June 28, 2009. The public is always invited and can participate.

DIRECTIONS: The Castaic Lake Water Agency is located off Bouquet Canyon Road North of Valencia Boulevard above Central Park.  After entering the park, turn left and take the road up the hill, make a left turn at the top of the hill to reach the upper parking lot.

HELP !! : 4th of July Parade

The help of Ham Radio Operators is needed for the 4th of July Parade. Need to be at your post by 7:45 to 8:00 a.m. Parade starts by 9:00 a.m. You will be finished at the end of the parade.  The most important thing is to introduce yourself to the announcers at your location letting them know you are there & available.  Wear your "RED" shirt if you have one.

There will be a Pancake Breakfast served at the Richard Dunn Pro Golf Shop on Main & Newhall Avenue starting early & for a nominal price.

Please call me at home or email me, so I can put your name & call sign on a list & I will know how many I have to work with. More information to follow.
